I tried to send a private message and got a 500 internal error, so I'll just drop here that I like your writing, and it's fun to virtually walk "alongside" you.
I'm doing your route on my cross trainer as there's not a chance of walking in the lockdown, even if I had the time.

Sorry about that - my guestbook seems to be a bit unreliable these days, but if you refresh things it tends to go away (the public side is the same system as the private message, so the fact that you managed to post shows that it works... most of the time, anyway!).
Anyway, thanks for getting in touch. I've had quite a few people walking virtually along my route during lockdown, so welcome to the club. I'm glad I could make things slightly more bearable in these odd times... 😀
