Hi Mark. Really enjoyed reading your lejog page. I've bookmarked your page for future reference!
I'm 67 but pretty fit. I want to schedule this for spring 2023, S to N.
As I am retired there's no way I can pay B&B costs for 2-3 months. What percentage on the walk do you think I could find a spot to bivvy (I don't use a tent, just tarp and bag)?
Many thanks for any advice.
Jon

Hi Jon.

Glad you like the site! Thanks for the kind words. 😀

I can't speak from experience, but from others who have done the walk and camped on the way, it sounds pretty easy to find wild camping spots as you go. As long as you set up camp in an out of the way spot and clear up afterwards, people seem to find it OK.

There are quite a few blogs on the subject, some of which you can find on my links page:

Here's one you might find useful - lots of wild camping in this one:

Hope this helps, and good luck with the planning. It's an amazing walk!

All the best,

Mark
