Subject: Poste Restante Hi folks one more question - how does one go about Poste Restante? The post office online advice is vague, stating that I'd need to visit the branch first to set it up - clearly that's not going to happen with 5 branches up country. It's also suggested that one contacts the branch to see if they cater for PR, yet calls to the switchboard are answered by an automated attendant that refers me to the website (which tells me to contact the branch...). Has anyone used this service? If so, how? |

Subject: Poste Restante Hi Sam. Mike, who is doing LEJOG as we speak, has been using Poste Restante. You could ask him - I've never used it in the UK, so can't comment. His blog entry that mentions it is here: https://off4ahike.wordpress.com/2017/03/28/logistics/ and I know he's been picking stuff up that way. Hope this helps. Mark |
